St. Marcelline Orphanage is in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. There are three houses where the sixty-six children live. Each house is managed by a "mama" who takes care about the little ones and the kids with sickness like schizophrenia or cerebral palsy. All the duties of the house as cleaning or washing clothes are done by all the kids.

The day starts at half past five and first take breakfast they have to make their beds, take a shower and clean the house. The school and nursery school is in the same orphanage so the children spend all day together and that makes them live like a big family.

Zimbabwe is a country where the life expectancy is 45 years(1), where 1.300.000 people have AIDS(1), where the 30% of the children who died under 5 years do it by AIDS(2) and that social situation generates a lot of baby abandons.

Corruption and low salaries are the main reason why people with the knowledge and the skills to improve the country emigrates, leaving society weaker.

The children who are collected before die and arrived to one of the orphanages have a second chance and they represent too a new chance for the country.
